Session 3 – #MyVABusiness – Opportunities to keep your VA business on track
Opportunity or Risk?
Key areas to consider for the future of a Virtual Assistant business.
Our experts will explore the need to work with fundamental business compliance and suggest the opportunities this may present for your own VA business.
Ami will be discussing what MTD means for your clients and the simple steps you can take to help them adapt. Ami's short and informative session will also talk us through how the Money Laundering Regulations could affect your work and what you need to do to avoid fines and even a criminal record.
Ami Copeland is a Director and Head of Communications at ICB, the world's leading body for professional bookkeepers. Having run her own small film-making business, before moving into the non-profit sector, Ami's favourite part of her job is helping people transform their lives either by becoming a bookkeeper or hiring a bookkeeper. 'We support people of all ages and backgrounds to boost their skillset and their confidence. Running your own business is empowering but it can also be isolating. I love bringing people together to form lasting connections.'
With many small businesses yet to make the changes needed to become MTD compliant by April, knowledgeable and trusted advisers such as a good PA, VA or bookkeeper will have a lot of work to do! Ami also wants to help VAs understand their responsibilities in offering bookkeeping services to clients.
