#VACon21 Day Four Thursday 4th March 2021
Panel Session: Think VA Talk VA
Gwen has an office in the town centre of Brampton Cumbria. She began her Virtual Assistant business, Curlew Secretarial Solutions in February 2014.
Gwen has over Seventeen years of experience in the secretarial and PA sector. Five of those years were spent working as an Audio Typist and Receptionist at a busy inner city doctor's surgery, so she is familiar with medical administration, and the confidentiality issues that go hand-in-hand with that position.
She spent many years working as Personal Assistant at an Occupational Health Company, dealing with all aspects of a busy office as well as running the Managing Directors diary and planning events, seminars and conferences. She also volunteers as a secretary for Alston Moor Food Bank and her local Scout Troop.
Gwen also has a background in Environmental Science and provides a Virtual Assistant service to university lecturers, renewable energy companies, students and other businesses in that field.
Curlew Secretarial Solutions has grown rapidly and works with a wide range of clients from sole traders to large companies. All services are tailored specifically to each client, as all have very different ways of working and different requirements.
In February 2018 Gwen was awarded UK Outstanding VA 2018, having previously been awarded VA of the Year England 2016, VA of the Year North West 2016 and Best Newcomer VA 2015. Gwen is now a member of the Judging Panel for the UK VA Awards
Gwen says, "I am truly passionate about being a VA, I have always enjoyed working in the administrative sector and having built a successful business around that has been truly rewarding."
"I can highly recommend Curlew Secretarial Solutions – Virtual Assistant Service, the prompt, efficient service, coupled with a genuine desire to support your business, rather than simply provide a service, is a real asset to anyone needing ad-hoc or regular assistance." - A satisfied client of Curlew Secretarial Solutions.
