Mike Caridia
Deputy Chair

Mike Caridia, Founder and President of pa-assist.com has supported the PA and VA professions since the inception of pa-assist in 1999.

Now semi-retired, Mike continues to support local business activities in the Kent area often speaking at events and acting as an ‘in-demand’ Mentor and judge for business Awards. 2016 will be Mike’s third year of being part of the VA Award’s Panel of Judges, and will be acting in the position of Co-Deputy Chair.

Mike’s working career started from an early age with the Italia Conti Stage School in London and he carved out a successful career as a child and teenage actor between 1953 and 1962, making many TV and film appearances including that of Sir Reginald in the Norman Wisdom film ‘Up in the World’.

Mike moved from a successful career in theatre to an equally successful career in the Motor Industry. He spent 4 years with Volkswagen Motors, 14 years with Toyota GB as head of Sales and Marketing, and became Sales and Marketing Director of Lancia, a position that meant a move to his current home county, Kent.

On leaving the Motor Industry, Mike built a successful business delivering training and organising conferences and events. Mike sold out his interest and started MCA The Presentation Team – a business he grew to manage major events around the world, for international clients.

Since 1999, Mike built the pa-assist.com brand and increased its membership to in excess of 10,000. In 2013, the enterprise was sold to Storm Media, with Mike being invited to continue to act in a consultancy capacity as President of pa-assist.com and he continues to help with the development of the business and member’s features.

Mike’s remaining business consultancy, Mike Caridia Associates (MCA) also runs bespoke training courses in public speaking, presentation and personal communications skills and he is involved, regularly, in helping to bring business skills to schools in Kent – including judging in “Dragon’s Den” style competitions.
